As Summer has come to an end and Fall is here, we hope that you all are enjoying the beautiful and mild weather we are having! In the last two monthly updates we introduced to you our LIFEiLEAD Team from New York and the great work that they are doing. Please continue to pray for the Lord’s guidance for them.
This month we are overjoyed to feature two of our LSG leaders at The House of Hope in Merritt Island, Florida! The House of Hope is a homeless, clothing, and food ministry with a Transitional Living House for men where the LSG is planted. I would like to provide a statistic that gives you an idea of how HoH impacts its community. In 2013 they served 135,414 INDIVIDUALS! Within this population of people being served there is a large percentage who are drowning in drug and alcohol addiction. The potential impact that LiL could have in this area is endless.
The team we have down there in Florida is incredible! We are encouraged at how they have really taken this group and owned it as they invest not just in the one night a week it meets, but all throughout the week in their personal and professional lives as they look for opportunities to come alongside others and live with purpose. We are very excited about the team God has put together for this Florida LSG. It is an honor to come alongside them and serve together to impact their community for the Kingdom of God.

“The LIFEiLEAD Support group has been going great! We are incorporating TACE into every meeting. Its really cool to see people who are usually really reserved and quite, open up and share. Personally I feel like the way the lesson plan is designed and the basic guidelines to it, makes it easy for everyone to follow and stay on topic. Only a few weeks in and I feel really good about this. I have never done anything like this before and I’m usually the last person to ‘lead’ anything, yet I really do feel comfortable. I asked some of the people attending the Support Group what they liked about LifeiLead over other support groups. The response mainly was how they were free to share at any point during the group, and that’s evident in the group because many are participating.”

In the beginning of 2014 we launched our 300 @ 50 Campaign to raise funds for this year to go towards program development in order to move the mission of LIFEiLEAD forward. We needed 300 individual gifts of $50 to reach our goal of $15,000 for 2014. Friends and family, to date we have received 181 gifts of $50 totaling $8,050.00! Our deepest appreciation and thanks to those who have generously donated to this campaign, not only with their finances, but also with their other valuable resources through time, energy, talent, prayer and support. Your contributions and commitment are deeply appreciated. We still need $6,950.00 to reach our goal for the year. We are asking for 139 more gifts of at least $50 to help us get there. LIFEiLEAD is a cause bigger than any one person. It is about reaching out to those who are trying to find their way on the road of recovery and restoration. To come alongside them and journey with them through the struggles and victories as they claim a life of freedom through Jesus. Please help us in any way you can.
